Coming up with a domain name is much easier once you've completed your niche research. You'll save money by putting a lot of time and thought into your research stage before you start buying potential domain names.
Your domain name should result from a combination of the keyword research you did early on, plus the information gaps you found while researching your niche. Can you make your domain name reflect the main need your site fulfills?
Many people try to name their domains by the top keyword for that niche. These domains usually end up looking like this:
some-top-keyword-phrase.com
We don’t necessarily take that route if we can avoid it. We will sacrifice a keyword-laden domain for one that is easier to remember and type in.
TIP: It's usually best to choose the .com version of a domain if possible. If the .com version isn't available, you may want to come up with a different domain name. Most people assume that websites end in .com, so you may lose traffic to a competitor if your site has a different ending and people try to type your URL into their web browser.
